FAQ

  • What does a postpartum doula do?

I’m here to support you emotionally and physically as you adjust to life with your newborn. That can mean helping with breastfeeding, caring for your baby while you nap, light housework, listening when you need to talk, and offering guidance and reassurance as you recover and settle into this new role.

  • Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I do not accept insurance directly. However, some clients have been able to use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to cover doula services. I’m happy to provide an invoice or documentation that may help with reimbursement — just let me know what you need!

  • What’s the difference between a trained birth doula and a certified birth doula?

I’m a trained birth doula actively working toward certification, bringing both education and hands-on experience to the families I support. With a background in social work, I offer not only physical and informational support, but also emotional care, active listening, and a safe, judgment-free space as you navigate birth and early parenthood.

  • Do you offer virtual services?

Yes! I’m happy to support families virtually through video calls, phone check-ins, and messaging. Whether you need help creating a birth plan, emotional support during postpartum, breastfeeding guidance, or reflective conversations about your birth experience, I can be there for you no matter where you are.

  • Where do you offer services?

I’m based in Boston and serve families within approximately an hour and a half radius. If you’re unsure whether your location is within reach, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m always happy to chat and see what’s possible!

  • Do you offer payment plans or sliding scale pricing?

Yes, I offer flexible payment plans and am happy to work with you to find an option that fits your family’s needs. My current prices are also reduced as I complete my certification, making this a great time to access support at a lower rate. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I believe everyone deserves access to nurturing, informed care.
